WIPpet 8/6/14

I just want to say thank you to everyone’s words of welcome for my first WIPpet last Wednesday. It was much appreciated!
I loved reading many of your own and I aim to read everyone’s this week.
Now, for this WIPpet:
The date is August 6, 2014. I added the month and day together to get the 14th chapter
and I used 14 in the year for the number of sentences.
I hope you enjoy this snippet.

Thistle Black: Cast

“Princess Thistle! What are you doing out here?”

Thistle ignored the guard’s confused inquiry as she struggled to get out of his grasp. Another came around and took hold of her other arm. She continued to fight, but her mighty struggle barely fazed them. They were strong and more than twice her size.

“Let me go!” she yelled as they began to drag her back. She dug her heels into the road as hard as she could, the ground tearing at her boots and jostling her painfully.

“Your father is looking for you,” the guard to her right said, his voice wary at her peculiar behavior.

“I don’t care!” Thistle shouted as she tried to wrenched her arms away from them. Her skin burned where the men held her and as she looked back toward the stranger, she saw him suddenly stop.

And this time… this time… he turned around.

    1. I’m glad this makes you want to know more. Especially about the stranger. And Thistle is right there with you. 😀

  1. I love the name Thistle by the way. Such an unusual yet perfect name. I do wonder what they see. Guess I’ll just have to wait!!

    1. Thanks! I love Thistle too. 😀 This story is meant to be fairytale-esque (though not nearly as much as I had intended) and so I gave all the major characters flower or plant like names. Her name is important in illustrating her personality. At least I hope so. 😀

    1. Thank you! So many of my characters’ names are weird. lol I think this series has the most normal names I’ve ever used. Maybe the next WIPpet will have some more about the stranger. Maybe… 😀
